Dr. Reymond studied chemistry and biochemistry at the ETH Zürich and obtained his Ph.D. in 1989 at the University of Lausanne in the area of natural products synthesis.
He then joined the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA, for a post-doctoral appointment with Dr. Richard A. Lerner working on catalytic antibodies, and became an assistant Professor there in 1992.
In 1997 he joined the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Berne as an Associate and in 1998 Full Professor. His current research includes the development of peptide dendrimers as artificial proteins and glycoproteins, drug delivery and antimicrobial agents, combinatorial and high-throughput screening methods including fluorescence enzyme assays, and computer-aided drug design and cheminformatics.
